With just 100 days to go until the Dubai T100 returns (13–16 November), excitement is building as one of the UAE’s foremost endurance athletes, Ghani Souleymane, embarks on a record-setting feat: 100 consecutive 100km triathlons in 100 days, culminating at the Dubai T100 on Sunday 16 November.

Launching tomorrow (Friday) from Kite Beach, Ghani’s endeavour will follow the official T100 format daily – 2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run – amounting to a staggering 10,000km by completion. The Guinness World Record attempt will also support conflict-affected children through fundraising efforts.

“This challenge is about more than sport,” said Ghani, who is renowned for his extreme endurance tests, having previously completed 30 ultramarathons in 30 days in 2020 and 30 Ironmans in 30 days in 2023. “It’s about showing what’s possible when you give everything and using that effort to help children who’ve lost so much.”

A Celebration of Endurance for All

Endorsed by the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and forming part of the global T100 Triathlon World Tour, the Dubai T100 is gaining recognition as one of the world’s most dynamic multisport events – seamlessly merging elite competition, community participation, and a vibrant festival atmosphere.

The event also plays a key role in the Dubai Fitness Challenge, which motivates residents to stay active by engaging in 30 minutes of daily exercise for 30 consecutive days.

From novices to experienced athletes, there is something on offer for everyone:

    Dubai T100 Programme Highlights

    Thursday, 13 November
🔹 Corporate Duathlon Relay powered by Dubai Eye 103.8FM
A high-octane team race for the city’s business community.

    Saturday, 15 November
🔹 Sprint Triathlon – A 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run designed for newcomers.
🔹 Elite T100 Pro Race – The season’s penultimate race, with the world’s top professionals competing over the 2km swim, 80km bike and 18km run. Men start first, followed by the women two hours later.
🔹 The Music Run – The popular 5K run returns with DJ stages, music zones and an electric atmosphere. Over 6,000 took part in 2024.

    Sunday, 16 November
🔹 100km Amateur Triathlon – Recreational athletes tackle the same course as the pros: 2km swim, 80km bike and 18km run.

T100 Gathers Steam After Investment Boost

The PTO recently concluded a Series C investment round, led by SURJ Sports Investment and supported by Sir Michael Moritz, Cordillera and Verance Capital. The funding will drive global expansion, with innovative formats such as The Music Run and Corporate Relay central to growth in the MENA region.

“As we scale globally, we’re more committed than ever to making triathlon accessible to everyone,” said Sam Renouf, CEO of the Professional Triathletes Association. “Ghani’s 100 x 100km challenge captures everything the T100 is about – elite sport that inspires community and purpose.”

    World-Class Athletes Return to Dubai

With the Dubai T100 serving as the penultimate leg of the T100 World Tour before the Qatar finale in December, top-tier triathletes will once again compete on one of the sport’s fastest and most scenic courses, anchored around Meydan Racecourse.

“Last year’s Dubai T100 was unforgettable – fast, challenging, and world-class,” said Julie Derron, Swiss Olympic silver medallist and current leader of the women’s T100 Race to Qatar, who placed second at Dubai T100 2024. “The atmosphere, the fans, and the energy in Dubai make it one of the best events of the season. I can’t wait to be back.”

Whether you’re taking your first steps into triathlon, rallying your team, or chasing the championship, the Dubai T100 welcomes you. With registration now open and slots filling up, the time to commit is now.
