SAIC Motor, parent company of MG Motor, has secured 138th position on the 2025 Fortune Global 500, reporting revenues of USD 87.2 billion in 2024. This achievement marks the automaker’s 21st consecutive year on the list, reinforcing its international influence and consistent performance across markets, including the Middle East.
As the sole Chinese carmaker to surpass annual sales of 1 million New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) and 1 million vehicles abroad for three consecutive years, SAIC’s worldwide achievements have strengthened MG’s brand appeal in the Middle East. Since re-entering the region in 2015, MG has rapidly climbed the ranks to secure a place among the GCC’s top five car manufacturers, with similar growth witnessed in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Morocco.

Tom Lee, Managing Director of MG Motor Middle East, said: “This global milestone reflects the strong foundations that support MG Motor globally and regionally. SAIC’s backing is key to reinforcing MG’s commitment to bring innovation, value, and a premium ownership experience to customers across the Middle East.”
During the first half of 2025, SAIC delivered 2.2 million vehicles globally, with over 1.3 million from its own brands, including MG. Despite challenging global conditions, the company sold 646,000 NEVs and 494,000 vehicles overseas. In the Middle East alone, MG achieved sales of 39,623 units in the same period.
MG’s regional momentum is fuelled by rising demand for intelligent, value-driven vehicles that combine advanced technology, comfort, and performance. Popular models such as the MG RX9, MG 7, and MG HS have resonated with customers, supported by a strong dealership and aftersales network to ensure convenience and long-term satisfaction.
Looking to the future, SAIC plans to release 17 new global models within three years, many earmarked for the Middle East in SUV, sedan, and NEV categories, further boosting MG’s presence and relevance.
With over 6 million overseas sales and a footprint in more than 170 countries, SAIC’s global capabilities continue to power MG’s growth in the Middle East, building customer trust and supporting the region’s vision for a cleaner, smarter motoring future.
