Gensler has revealed the completion of The NEST, Schneider Electric’s new 10,000m² flagship headquarters in Dubai, redefining workplace innovation in the region.
Situated in Dubai Silicon Oasis, the cutting-edge development integrates advanced sustainability measures, smart building technologies, and human-focused design principles to establish a future-ready commercial environment.
The NEST acts as Schneider Electric’s first regional headquarters for the Middle East and Africa and serves as the company’s first Impact Building. Bringing together office spaces, innovation zones, and training facilities, it provides a holistic ecosystem designed to drive collaboration, agility, and thought leadership.
At the heart of the project is the Innovation Hub, an experiential space where clients and partners can engage with Schneider’s state-of-the-art technologies across multiple applications — from residential environments to data centres. The hub showcases the company’s global leadership in digital innovation and sustainability.
The NEST has achieved the coveted SmartScore Platinum certification and is targeting both LEED ID+C Platinum and WELL Equity certifications, cementing its position as one of the most sustainable and inclusive offices in the region.
Jose Faine, Design Director and Principal, Gensler Middle East, commented:
“With The NEST, we set out to create more than an office – we designed a living, breathing ecosystem that embodies the future of work. Our approach focused on fusing technology, sustainability, and human experience to deliver a space that is not only smart and efficient, but also inclusive and inspiring. The NEST is a first-of-its-kind in the region and a project we are incredibly proud to celebrate alongside Schneider Electric.”
Designed to accommodate over 1,000 employees, the workplace promotes a culture of connectivity and empowerment. By consolidating Schneider Electric’s regional operations within a single site, The NEST encourages collaboration and knowledge-sharing while advancing sustainable innovation.
As the first project under Schneider Electric’s Global Impact Buildings Programme, The NEST sets a new international benchmark for the next generation of smart, green workplaces.
For Gensler, this milestone represents more than a design accomplishment — it reflects the studio’s commitment to redefining work environments and creating spaces where sustainability, technology, and human experience coexist seamlessly.
